LG 42SL80 Expert Reviews:

CNET editors have given the LG42SL80 a poor rating for their poor viewing on the side angles and its poor black light levels. Their rating was a 3/5 Rating, in summary they cited, “The LG SL80 series’ style-first philosophy will appeal to buyers seeking a sleek LCD TV and don’t mind sacrificing some performance.”

In contrast PCMAG gave the LG LG42sL80’s color a good grade, and highlighted the model’s glass design and its 240hz technology. PCMAG gave it a solid 4/5 Rating, summarizing with: “LG’s 42SL80 is an attractive 42-inch LCD TV that delivers a sharp HD picture but struggles with standard-definition content.
