Deal Review: Though the reviews for this deal were great enough, Amazon has this exact model (only in Silver) for the same price. So it seems that this isn’t as great of a deal as we thought. The reviews on this model were a little varied, citing reviews from 3/5 to 4/5. Yet the average is around 3/5 Review.

CNet editors review the A1100 a 3.5/5 Rating, saying “The A1100’s performance is decent for its class, but felt slow during regular use. From off to first shot takes 2 seconds. The camera’s 2.1-second shot-to-shot time is comparatively normal for its class.”

PCWorld gave this a 3/5 Rating, “In PC World Test Center testing, the PowerShot A1100 IS fired off 146 shots before the batteries needed replacing–a surprisingly small number for a point-and-shoot camera with a small LCD screen.”

“In summary the Canon Powershot A1100 IS is a stylish, compact and well-built digital camera that is simple to use and even more well-suited to the beginner than the previous A1000 model.” Review from Photography Blog.

InfoSyncWorld gave this a 66% out of 100%, “Pros: Decent overall image quality. Great menu system. Cons: Inconsistent low light performance. Limited manual controls.”

“Because the A1000’s list price has dropped to $149.99, it’s a much better value.” PCMag gave this a 4/5 Rating.

Amazon’s 129 reviewers gave this PowerShot A1100 a 4/5 Rating.
